DescriptionI am recently retired as an RN after 45 yrs mostly in the psychiatric field. I am originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast and left after 2004 when Katrina wiped me off the map! I now reside in the Napa Valley of CA. I have more time on my hands that needs to be used now that I have retired from Nursing. I am hoping this will further my skills as a song writer and fit in with the music industry. I have always been a music lover and paid close attention to the words, message and meaning of the song. I am an avid crossword fan, and other word games. This gives me a strong background for song writing. But, I have found it much easier to write songs on personal experiences or things I see or hear while out and about. Note:This is an update 4/27/2025) Almost two yrs later, I have written 41 songs of various genre of which I hold all copyrights to each song. I collaborated with just one person, (Larry Magee) on the entire [removed] change a good arrangement!! My songs are on many online sites. I have had great difficulty getting anywhere in the Music Industry. I never realized all the time I was having fun writing songs was the easy part! I am not looking for wealth or money as much as being able to say when I hear my songs playing, "Hey I wrote that!" Dean Grein
