Verse-Chorus Lyrics

Lyrics by Daniel Castillo

I still got time

Genres: Country

I must have been around twenty four
fresh out of cash and outta hope
got canned from my last job 'cause I lacked ambition
said my boss while looking at the television
so I packed up my bags, said goodbye to the guys
Then I went back to the streets looking for a way to survive

Oh what could have been
if it wasn't for the little things
oh, I still got time
to figure out what I want from life

After a while I turned twenty five
and life had already passed me by
everyone I knew was ten steps ahead of me
but not one of them was where I wanted to be
they all carried on in so many directions
I couldn't catch them without some motivation

Oh what could have been
if it wasn't for the little things
oh, I still got time
to figure out what I want from life

Before I knew it I was twenty six
living a life I didn't pick
my friends were then strangers I never got to meet
I'd like to think they were OK without me
I found a job I hated but, hey, it did pay
and the days wasted away as my hair turned to grey

Oh, what could have been
if it wasn't for the little things
oh, I still got time
to figure out what I want from life

Now here I am, too old at twenty seven
for it to be cute that I am still a rebel
but I will not accept that there's no more to life
than just working everyday in a senseless grind
so excuse me if you will or don't if you won´t
but I'm not gonna stop trying to break these bonds

Oh, what could have been
if it wasn't for the little things
oh, I still got time
to figure out what I want from life

Yeah, I still got time
to figure out what I want from life
Yeah, I still got time
to figure out what I want from life

The lies I tell

Genres: Pop, Soul

I say hello,
I shake hands and smile
I hide behind
Whatever you find

You have met me
But I never showed
Any part of
Myself or my soul

You think you know
Me after a while
You believed me
But it's all a lie

The joke’s on me
Because I’m the one
Who ends up alone
Asking himself why

Why can’t you let
Someone reach your heart
Why do you feel
The need to stay apart

Apart I have torn
My sense and my mind
Now not even I
Know who I really am

I am many things
And none of them
I’m just a guy
Lost inside himself

I won’t try to
Find a way to tell
Who this guy is
I can’t face myself

It’s too late now
To stop being wrong
I can’t help it
It’s all I’ve known

The truth would break
More than I can bear
I shall stay chained
By the lies I tell

I am many things
And none of them
I’m just a guy
Lost inside himself

I won’t try to
Find a way to tell
Who this guy is
I can’t face myself

So don’t believe
You ever knew me
You only saw
What everyone sees

The layer of
Impressive half truths
That I knew you
Would think are so cool

You would forget
To ask yourself
What do I know
About my old friend

Is he alone
How is he feeling
Is he only
What he’s revealing

I am many things
And none of them
I’m just a guy
Lost inside himself

I won’t try to
Find a way to tell
Who this guy is
I can’t face myself

Palace of glass

Genres: Country, Indie

She lived up in her palace of glass
She thought it was nice to have
Transparency so she could see
But fragility came with it

She could not see that stones sometimes
Protect us even though they don´t shine
And in walked a boy with a smile
That shattered the glass with a sigh

He saw right through her glass walls
And figured out the way to her heart
But instead of trying to steal it
He threw a rock and fled grinning

He brought down the glass all around
And the shards fell without a sound
They cut her deeply and she bled
The tears fell all over her bed

She lived up in her palace of glass
She thought it was nice to have
Transparency so she could see
But fragility came with it

Whether she learned or just suffered
It's over, it already happened
And now she´ll just have to pick up
The pieces of her palace of glass

She lived up in her palace of glass
She thought it was nice to have
Transparency so she could see
But fragility came with it

For now she´ll just have to pick up
The pieces of her palace of glass
