“I want to be a songwriter because I want to create something that touches people’s souls. Something that makes people feel, remember, love, hurt, and connect. I want to leave something behind that outlives me. Long after I’m gone, I want my words and music to still mean something to someone. I want my son to grow up one day and look back at what I created and feel proud of his dad. I want him to know that I had dreams, that I chased them, and that I put my heart into everything I created. I don’t know how far my music will take me, but I know I want to leave a piece of myself in this world. Something that lives on even when I’m no longer here.”
