“I’d love to work with someone who enjoys developing my ideas and also brings their own, someone whose thoughts and emotions are deep and whose writing makes me want to sit down and turn it into a song. Sometimes we might start with my music or a fragment of lyrics, other times, with something you’ve written. What matters to me is a natural feel for English and an instinct for shaping songs that work musically and emotionally. I also want to be upfront about my values. I value my time, independent thinking, and intellectual honesty. I have a lot I want to say, and little patience for mysticism or feigned open-mindedness. I support Ukraine and Israel. I’d prefer a close creative partnership with someone who shares my positions on these issues.”
