What are you looking for?
“Musical talents that are looking for the next Bernie Taupin!
I write with humour, depth or rhyming singability:
LUCKY JIM (It could have been worse!)
1.
He was born in a ditch,
when his mother hitched a ride to get to hospital in town
Right out in the mud,
right after the flood that tore their house and stable both right down
A-ccording to dad,
their horses had escaped the water just out of pure luck
Well, Jim landed flat
in his mama's hat, right beside a stinking pile of muck
Lucky Jim
Lucky Jim
There ain't no doubt that luck was there for him
Lucky Jim
Lucky Jim
That kind of luck that only followed him!
(there are four more verses that describe how he lost his right leg, ended up in a wheelchair race, was paralysed and ... still thought he was lucky)
But, that's another story, entirely.”
