DescriptionI have wanted to write songs since I was around 10 years old, and would often hear lyrics and melodies in my mind, but didn't play an instrument, so felt I had nowhere to go with it other than keeping a journal of ideas, titles and random lyrics. About 15 years ago, while working as an indie documentary producer/director, I needed original music for various film projects and began collaborating with a local duo, and co-wrote a few songs. This experience re-lit that childhood dream and ever since, I have been writing song lyrics...while still hoping to find a collaborator who is like-minded. My genres are indie folk, pop, Americana, singer/songerwriter and modern country. I write about a wide range of topics... Last fall, I learned about Suno, the AI site, and have since put over 180 of my songs to music via this resource, which has been a wonderful tool. I am currently in the process of having the best of these songs produced with live musicians and singers, but still have a true desire to collaborate and create songs organically as well. I have no interest in performing the songs myself, so am also looking for singers to collaborate with once the songs are finished. My ideal writing partner would be an acoustic guitarist who sings, and would be open to performing what we co-create... I am based in New Jersey, but am happy to work with people from anywhere who are wanting to create music that both inspires and makes people want to sing along :)
