Description“We are currently a trio, three guys getting back into what we were doing years ago. We grew up together, played in bands, and had our own recording-rehearsal studio for over ten years. Now that the kids are grown and out, we are [removed] this one particular track, we stumbled with writing lyrics and a good melody, and we are looking for help. We have lyrics and a melody, but we feel this song needs something better, (we would like someone to write new lyrics and come up with a melody that takes this song somewhere) plus it’s not a song that any of us can find a comfort zone singing. So, we are looking for someone to fill in the blanks. We will send you the stereo WAV file of the music only, and you can decide if this is something you can contribute to. We currently have 19 tunes on many of the streaming platforms, and we go by the name ‘The Schmegmatics.’ If it’s something you would like to check out, let us know, and we will send you the track. We would like to communicate with you somehow first. We would like you to be able to add a vocal track(s) to our stereo WAV file. we can send via Dropbox or something you use.

Dreams & AmbitionsOur dreams are like most of your dreams, get heard, get out there, make music that will impact someone or something special. We write songs and mostly are looking for a singer to sing them better that we can. We can sing if it's in our wheelhouse but some to most of our songs need that special person to bring it to a better place. Don't be afraid to reach out to us, we can chat and see if we can make something happen. We can give you our website to check us out, maybe it's something you want to give a try. The way we see it working is we send you a WAV or MP3 and you would need to send us back a quality track for us to put into our DAW and we would produce it with the song. We would all have input in the final mix, we all know how this goes. Reach out if you are interested.

EquipmentWe all have a DAW, either Pro-Tools or MixBus. We all have excellent gear. We all work remotely and send each other tracks via Drop-Box and you would also do the same. We are all experienced in recording and we all have at some point worked in and owned recording-rehearsal studios. We have been around the block and know our stuff, but there are always new things to learn.

Use of AIWe have started using AI to give us ideas to improve or shape our songs. Our intent is, when we upload our songs, we want to see where it goes. We sometimes take ideas and play them ourselves and create a new mix. We have found the AI stems are not so good as they bleed into each other and are swampy if that makes sense. But it is a great tool, and we use it.
