DescriptionHi everyone! I am a recording artist, singer/songwriter and female emcee. My name is Jasmine but my artist name is Yazameen. I don’t want to solely categorize myself apart of the Rap/Hip-Hop genre because I believe my sound is unique in the content of my music and often Rap/Hip-Hop is pushing other ideas. The first single I released on Spotify is a song honoring women. So I definitely consider my writing style to be empowering and impactful. I also believe my unique perspective on the world being multiracial allows me to relate to a diverse range of people and topics. I grew up loving other genres of music like alternative rock, r&b, reggae and much more. However, the reason I chose to begin my writing career with the focus on Rap and Hip-Hop style of music is because I love a good challenge! Hope to work with you soon!
