DescriptionMy name is Mads. I am a Danish pianist, composer, and producer currently living in New Zealand. With 25 years of experience as a professional pianist, I have released five jazz albums under my own name and composed over 30 hymn melodies, many of which have been featured in published songbooks. Achievements In 2022, I had the honor of winning a song competition for Act Alliance alongside Lisbeth Smedegaard Andersen. Our winning song, ‘You ask me what hope is’ in English, has quickly gained popularity and recognition. Projects My latest project revolves around a series of singles focused on the theme of hope. Collaborating with talented lyricists and musicians from around the world, my first single, ‘From the Heart,’ is a captivating jazz/pop song featuring Danish jazz singer Emilie Schiøtt. The Lyrics are written by Michael Piscopo that I met on this forum.
Dreams & AmbitionsLYRICISTS I am seeking great lyrics that touches people and give strenght and hope to carry on. Listen to "You ask me what hope is" and "From the heart" to get a sense of my direction. VOCALISTS I am seeking professional singers M/K that are willing to publish the new songs to both our audiences so we can grow respectively on our Spotify accounts. Preferably you have 50.000 + monthly listeners already. I will take care of the production from idea to master but you will have to be able to have your own vocal recorded in a studio. ----------------- I'm currently working on new songs about HOPE. I want to release singles 5-6 times a year and ultimately make it into an album. I think hope is so much in need today, where a lot of people have lost faith in the future. I released 'From the heart' May 1. 2024 and 'You ask me what hope is" November 2023. You can listen on Spotify / Mads Granum. I have a back catalog with 5 jazz albums with hymns from mainly Denmark. But this new release is aimed to be more mainstream to target a larger audience. Pop songs with a little twist of jazz with lyrics with depth.
EquipmentComplete homestudio setup. My go to DAW is Cubase 13 Pro, but I have worked a lot in Logic Pro as well over the years.
