DescriptionHave been a professional copywriter for many years, but passion is for songs. Grew up in Appalachia so I tend to write a lot of folk/singer-songwriter songs. I’ve also traveled the world a good bit, so my lyrics are a combination of those influences. I write in a vacuum, just me and the paper, and so I truly have no idea if my lyrics are marketable. I’ve never collaborated with another writer, but I think that’s a next important step for me. So although I’m probably going to stink at it for a while, I am very open to finding co-writers.

Use of AII write all my lyrics. I’ve spent my career as a professional copywriter and I can admit I have far too much pride to let an AI do ANY sort of writing for me. Besides, AI writes like a 2nd grader. I use Suno to test my lyrics, to make sure they work with timing and song structure. It’s a useful tool but I hate it, passionately. Nothing better than human voices and human artistry. To all you folks with musical/singing skills, keep on keepin’ on.
