DescriptionMy name is Rob. I've been composing and arranging music and playing guitar for years. I have ideas for lyrics but struggle to complete things lyrically, also I sing but my voice is really more for harmony vocals unless its for something kind of shoegaze-y. My music has been becoming more reflective over time, and I am interested in finding someone who can sing and write lyrics but needs a composer and guitarist. Genres I play in include neosoul, indie r&b, indie-rock, celtic rock, light progressive rock, and singer-songwriter. I also play heavy rock as a side project. I have some jazz and classical influence (mainly modal jazz or soul-jazz, and romantic-era nocturnes) but mostly sprinkle that in to the genres I listed. I tend towards artsy kinds of things more than pop but I have write poppier songs and singles as well and am not at all averse to having a balance of the two over the course of an album. I don't use AI and I don't sample. I will only use loops to achieve a specific effect, otherwise I believe in tracking all the way through to capture the live energy. Some music I like: Pink Floyd & David Gilmour, Black Pumas, The Main Squeeze, Khruangbin, David Ryan Harris, Anneke Van Giersbergen (!), Heather Findlay, The Gathering, Mostly Autumn, Karnataka, All About Eve, The Cranberries, Hendrix, Queen, Tarja, AiC, Steven Wilson, Peter Green, lots of 90's R&B (Janet, B2M, Seal etc.), Sade, Alicia Keys, Ernie Isley / Isley Brothers, Marley, George Harrison, Miles Davis, Chopin.
