DescriptionMarried, old, bit of a hermit, few friends but good ones. Used to write political stuff for WND.com, but thankfully done after 50 pieces published as commentary in 3 yrs. I do not compose so I like to re-write old popular songs, somehow evangelist instead of secular. Sound of Silence became Wound of Silence / House of the Rising Sun became Church of the Risen Son, also Unchained Soul's Melody, What Becomes of the *Soul Divided (*Broken Hearted). Need some guidance re copyrights, etc. New poems/lyrics waiting for composers, i.e., (My Lord was) a Man of Sorrow, Stay Away From Me Jesus, How Long Is Forever, Little Child Never-Born, Cry Cry for the Hungry, The Fall of Halloween's House, Old Man Down, Wedding Song, etc. I sing in the Choir, in the shower, and an occasional karaoke night, but only with a minor liquid assist. I have decent base voice. The one song I want do personally for a YouTube bit (promised a friend I would sometime) is Paul Simon's Sound of Silence, re-purposed. I like the Disturbed version better than the original."Hello Jesus my old friend / I've come to plead with you again..." etc.

Cry, cry for the hungry Cry, Cry for the poor Cry for the broke and lonely Just don't cry for me anymore Pray for the heart of the sinner Pray for the soul of the lost They're just a prayer away from the Savior who paid for their sins on the cross Watch me stand at the judgement guilty of all as accused condemned and ashamed but set free by the Lord released into glory excused I'll leave my meal on the table My money I'll leave at the door I'll be with Jesus forever completed, forgiven and blessed evermore Cry,cry for the hungry Cry, cry for the poor Cry for the broken and lonely but there's no need to cry for me anymore
