DescriptionI’m 18 and just joining out of curiosity. I write lyrics and songs without instruments but have always wished to put my words to music. My inspiration for songs comes out of my passing thoughts, story’s I find interesting, narratives in my mind and out of the blue when I hear a rhythm in my head or an instrumental piece online. I have sang some of my songs in small groups and have got mixed feedback which makes me unsure whether the people I sang to either didn’t like the songs or that they just don’t have the same music taste as me, none the less I have a determination to somehow before the day I die put music to my words wether on my own or with help of others and perhaps preform them publicly. The songs I write are very personal to me and I have an inner appreciation for them whether others would I’m unsure so I would be open to criticism and feedback to improve them by this more experienced. I’m definitely not a hectic singer but have ambition to learn to be able to hold a note and improve my singing as to sing my songs myself. I would consider John Prine, Jason Isabell, Bob Dylan, Tyler Childers and Bruce Springsteen to be people I look up to.
