DescriptionI have written dozens of songs in a variety of styles. I was a semifinalist in the 2026 Talent Is Timeless songwriting contest for my song If You Don't Mind. I studied music in college, so I have a good grasp of music theory. I am looking for a performer or producer who would like to do either a cover of an existing song or work with me on coming up with an original song. I have used AI to generate performances of several of these songs to give you an idea of how they might sound. They are available on my website, garyclementsbooks.com, or from any streaming platform under the name The Garacles. Although I write in various genres -- rock, pop, country, big band, Broadway -- my songs tend to share certain characteristics: thoughtful lyrics that sync well with the melodies, recognizable song structures, and interesting harmonies and chord progressions. I have a special fondness for songs with a sense of humor. I would be delighted to work with someone who has an opportunity to record and/or perform original material. I own the copyrights to my existing songs and would be satisfied with receiving the composer royalties.

Dreams & AmbitionsMy number one dream is to have a talented artist, newcomer or established, record one of my songs. I get a thrill hearing my music on the various streaming sites, but would be over the moon to hear one on the radio or TV someday performed by someone who can really do it justice.

EquipmentI play a little guitar and keyboards. I use Logic Pro to record demo tracks of my songs, which I then upload to Sumo to create more polished performances.

Use of AII use AI to create high-quality recordings of my songs. The songs themselves are totally original. The lyrics, melodies, chord progressions, etc. are all mine. If Sumo comes up with a nice instrumental passage derived from my chords and melodies, though, I don't hesitate to keep it in the recording.
