DescriptionI'm more of a songwriter than an artist, much less a singer. As an instrumentalist, I do play electric bass and guitar - enough to flesh out compositions, anyway. So if you've been curious about adding a little more instrumentation to your tracks, I'd be open to that as well! Genre-wise, I'm pretty across the board, but as a soulful musician, I find my center in writing songs about Awareness, Betterment, Discernment (aka Wisdom), Energy, and God.
Lyrics
Genres: Country, Blues, Singer-Songwriter
A1 - Mama's got folded hands On the table trying not to chastise Every time she has the chance To get a single word in edgewise She saves her two cents Cashing them in For exasperated sighs Pre-chorus - Someone once said, â€If you got nothin' nice to say Then ask a question†Chorus - Are things getting worse Or are we getting old? Let's not get Someday Syndrome Hoping the good Lord will call us home A2 - On this blue planet The only home we've ever really known Which of our dreams are damned and Which of its hills are worth dying on? Mama sighs Mentally resigned Saying that God only knows Bridge - Blaming rosacea For her hot red cheeks Mama says her peace She says, "Things were bad When I was a fledgling parent with a dream And when your kids are grown I want them to know The answer to something" Chorus (x2) -

This is the first single from my latest EP called "Stag & Cigarettes." It's the story of a lifelong relationship as told through three nostalgic vignettes. Its a short and simple song, even with an extended bridge between verses 2 and 3.
