DescriptionI write lyrics the way a good photographer shoots. Get close. Find the specific thing. Don’t describe the feeling — put the reader inside it. My completed songs span Delta blues, Americana, folk, country, indie pop, and cinematic art rock. Every word is mine. I work from the inside of actual moments. A woman drumming on a man’s leg in a restaurant. A stone heart slipped onto a stranger’s hand. The specific weight of a sidewalk epiphany so quiet and complete you realize you’ve stumbled onto a secret only a few people in history know. My lyrical range runs wide — desire, grief, reinvention, joy, the particular ache of being fully alive and not entirely sure what to do about it. I write specifics, not concepts. Lines that arrive sideways. Humor as a knife, not [removed] for songwriters, musicians, and producers who feel a lyric before they figure out what to do with it. Let’s build something that actually means something. A few lines from the work: “If this old backpack is empty / Why does it slow me down / If these new shoes have no tread / Why am I turning around†“Uncrowned and nearly regal / Uncrowned and scraping by / Uncrowned and nearly legal / Uncrowned and never cry / Waking up to blended power / Ending up a broken flower†“Nobody told me, nothing dramatic / Just the whole world cracking open automatic / Then a hawk cut low across the mountains / One screech, one waggle of the wing / And the sky behind reached out and took me / Back to everything†“Bring the grain of what I’ve lived through / To the man in these new shoes†“Pulled up a chair and talked while you bathed / Rode an escalator higher than heaven / Only we understand our motion and smile / Like we invented all the whileâ€
Dreams & AmbitionsI came back to songwriting after a long detour and finished what I started. One completed album. A second well underway. Every word mine, across Delta blues, Americana, country, folk, indie pop, and art rock. My ambition is simple to say and hard to do: write songs that make a stranger feel something they didn’t expect to feel. Lines that lodge. Images nobody else would have reached for. What I want from collaborating is range I can’t reach alone. A musician who turns a lyric into a world. A producer who knows what to leave out. Someone who pushes the work past where I could take it by myself. Long-term, I want a catalog that lasts. Songs that get cut, placed, and remembered. And the deeper pleasure of building something real with people who care as much as I do about getting it right.
EquipmentI’m a writer first, not a player. I build full demos using AI music tools so collaborators can hear the song, the melody, tempo, structure, and feel, instead of reading lyrics cold. What I bring: finished lyrics, a clear sonic vision for each song, and a working demo to react to. What I’m looking for: musicians and producers with real instruments, studio chops, and recording rigs to take the songs from demo to record.
Use of AIThe words are entirely mine. Every lyric, every image, every line break is written by me, the same way I’ve written since my first poetry collection years ago. I use AI as a production tool to record demos and bring finished lyrics to life as full tracks, so collaborators can actually hear a song instead of reading it cold off a page. Think of it as a sketch of the recording, not the recording itself. What I’m after here is the real thing: human musicians and producers to take these songs the distance. The AI gets a song breathing. You help make it great.
