DescriptionRecently retired from a fifty year banking career, I have written songs for over sixty years and have a catalog of more than 100 professionally produced and recorded tracks. My work includes several musicals, some liturgical pieces, ten albums, and scores of songs. I grew up playing the songs of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers. Jule Styne, and the like. For me, few thrills are greater than matching an original lyric with an original melody. For all of my work I am the sole composer and lyricist. The vocalists and arrangers have performed on a work-for-hire basis. Consequently, I am the sole owner of the material - most of which is copyrighted and registered with BMI. I have never seriously concentrated on promoting the material, but now that I am retired I would like to do so, My overriding aspiration is to find appropriate outlets and artists who seek new material for which they can provide their own unique [removed] this regard, I have placed my albums on Bandcamp.com where the tracks can be found under my name: Dana Paul Robinson

Dreams & AmbitionsRegarding music, my overriding ambition is to provide songs I have written (as composer and lyricist)to singers seeking new material for their personal and professional use. I have written, produced over 150 professionally recorded stand-alone songs. In addition, while working in the financial services industry over the past half century, I have created several locally produced musicals, liturgical pieces, and marches. While my contribution to a song is the melody and the lyrics, it is the arrangement and - most of all - the interpretation of the vocalist that truly brings a song to life.
