DescriptionI have over 100 wicked, good lyrics, about a wide range of topics, from numerous perspectives, and in a variety of forms or styles. Many have accompanying melodies and chord progressions, but most are just words looking for the right home. Some of my favorite lyricists are Chuck Berry, David Byrne, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Elvis Costello, Ray Davies, Bob Dylan, Donald Fagan, John Fogerty, Woody Guthrie, Mick Jagger, Tom Lehrer, John Lennon, John Lydon, Randy Newman, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Strummer, Richard Thompson, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Frank Zappa, and Warren Zevon.

Believe me, we’re well aware it was just what they said they’d do.

But most of their words felt good and we hated the same folks too.

The models and algorithms had served us well for so long.
Our TED talk and Davos thought leaders were singing the same song,
In agreement about what things meant and where we were going.
There was no reason to think that their projections could be wrong.

After seeming to succeed at everything else, heaven knows.
Of course, since the truth became clearer, it comes as no surprise.
