DescriptionI grew up in a house where music was never off. Classical composers, jazz favorites, big band, and the current generation’s records lived in the background of ordinary days. I come from a family of well-trained musicians. Jam sessions were not special events. They were how the house sounded. That early immersion taught me form, color, groove, and silence before I had language for any of it. I have been composing for years as an accomplished amateur, moving across classical structure, jazz, boogie, New Age, and EDM. The early influence was the classical masters. Later came artists such as Avicii, Dr. John, and many more... The range is wide, but the center has stayed the same: every piece is a reflection of what I was living in the world at the time. The world outside the piano mattered as much as the music in it. I have worked in art and sculpture, in science, and across private industry, the university, government, and the military. Those rooms demanded different kinds of attention—precision, pressure, observation, and the ability to listen for what is actually there. Together they gave me a perspective on the musical landscape that does not belong to one genre. I hear music as architecture, as weather, and as evidence of a life actually lived. That combination can look scattered. I see it as cinematic and personal: music with structure and emotional climate, written by someone who has spent a lifetime inside sound and a lifetime outside it. The work is not an imitation of a scene. It is a record of one.
