About
- I'm a lyricist looking for musicians to write music to my lyrics.
I grew up with music as a core part of who I was; my grandmother was an opera singer who taught my mom how to sing and she taught me, originally singing was my main focus. As I got older I got very into dance, writing, and I did play guitar for quite a few years. Dance and writing were the true ways I could express feeling, dance through music and movement and writing through my words. Gradually writing turned into writing lyrics and wanting to put them to music. I was the singer for a blues/roots band for two years which taught me I love music more than anything. I’m going for whatever sound fits my writing; but personally my influences are heavily R&B and soul with a touch of country/indie. I grew up on Whitney Houston, Tracy Chapman, Anita Baker, all the [removed] personal influences through the years have mixed through dance and music, Banks, The Civil Wars, Aaliyah, TLC; I love the way music genres lately are able to mix. What makes my work industry ready? Honestly I have more of a dance track record but I can tell you I feel music and I have a million lyrics that can make people feel too. Everything I write is mine and from my brain, I don’t use computers to edit any of my writing.

I’m living a double life since you went away
Every night I drink you away but yet you stay
Your ghost shows up more with every spirit that I drink
I wish I could be more like what you want instead I think
Think about all the things I used to be for you,
How what I gave was more than what you could imagine to be true
But maybe I could never get the gig at all
Because every time I did for you, you only waited for the fall
Everyone says I’ve made up what we really were
Says you were nothing but a roadblock I just needed to clear
It’s so easy letting go, when you’re not the one to fall
Maybe that’s why they warn you not to risk it all
Think about all the things I used to be for you,
How what I gave was more than what you could imagine to be true
But maybe I could never get the gig at all
Because every time I did for you, you only waited for the fall
Every night I’ll try to use the drink to cure the pain,
and every morning I’ll pretend that everything’s okay,
but a hopeless case I know is all I’ve ever been, my heart in your hands and I’m begging you to win
And loving you is like a story that will never end.
Think about all the things I used to be for you,
How what I gave was more than what you could imagine to be true
But maybe I could never get the gig at all
Because every time I did for you, you only waited for the fall
I guess it’s my mistake for having ever loved at all.
