DescriptionHello everyone, my name is Michael Parker, and I’m a songwriter and lyricist with a lifelong passion for country music, storytelling, and heartfelt lyrics. I enjoy writing traditional country, classic country, contemporary country, romantic country, country love songs, and Southern gospel. I believe the best songs make people feel something—love, heartache, happiness, hope, faith, or memories of people and moments that matter. I have built a substantial catalog of original song lyrics and continue to develop new material with the goal of connecting with artists, producers, publishers, and fellow songwriters. Some of my songs have received performances in the European market, which has been an exciting and encouraging part of my songwriting journey. I have always admired country music because of its ability to tell an honest story in a few minutes. I’m drawn to songs with memorable hooks, strong concepts, relatable emotions, and lyrics that sound genuine. My goal is to write songs that an artist can hear, connect with, and make their own. I joined Verse-Chorus because I’m looking forward to becoming part of a community of writers and music professionals who share the same love for songwriting.
