DescriptionOver the past 4 years, I have released 2 digital albums of self-penned songs and I am now working on a third album. This is how I work: (1) I email you the lyrics of my songs, with either an acapella or vocal/piano demo so that you have an idea of the melodies I want to achieve. Please note that I am a singer-songwriter who only started to play the piano last year, so my piano skills are very basic. From now and then, I can also give you some music examples for reference. (2) You then create a music arrangement with a variety of instruments. I very often like to have a say in choosing the instruments I feel would suit the track. (3) When the arrangement is to my liking, you email me the instrumental file and I record the final vocals from home. (4) The last part of the music journey is to merge the final vocals and music mix. (5) You email me the master files (vocal and instrumental, MP3/WAV) along with the metadata. (6) I submit the tracks to my distributor who will release them to major streaming platforms. I credit you for your work. Dreams & AmbitionsYour success in mine! I am doing it for pleasure, as I have a full time job as a linguist. I have achieved my teenage dream of releasing an album, actually two, and the next one would be another cherry on top of the cake. Please note that I have no had the opportunity to perform live yet, and I would welcome any venture if it comes my way. I have not made any money from this music project, but it has given me so much pleasure. Every pounds and dollars I spent were from my own pocket. As an independent artist, I like to express my thoughts and share my music out there, in the hope that it will resonate with other music-minded people. I am not after fame, I'm past that stage. EquipmentI have no equipment whatsover apart from my brain. I write lyrics, with melodies I can play on the piano, and sing my own songs. I am looking for producers and musicians who can bring my songs into life. That much is true.
