DescriptionI started writing in 1990's but I am not really musically inclined so I have never been able to play an instrument or sing so writing was all I ever did. I recently played with an app (Suno) that let me bring a few of my lyrics to life. I loved how they sound so I decided to explore further into the musical world and maybe cut a few releases with real artist one day.
Lyrics
She Faded Away
Genres: Country
Verse 1 She used to curl up next to me every night, Lay her head upon my chest and hold me tight. We couldn’t wait to watch our family grow, Now there’s a cold spot in this bed where her love used to go. She says she’s tired, got a lot on her mind, But the distance between us grows all the time. I reach for her hand but it slips away, Like watching the sunset slowly steal the day. Chorus She didn’t leave all at once, She faded away. One little piece at a time, One ordinary day. No slammed doors, no goodbye, No tears left to cry. Just a woman I loved turning into a stranger before my eyes. She didn’t leave all at once, She faded away. Verse 2 Used to spend an hour getting ready for a date, Painted lips, pretty dress, couldn’t wait. Now the makeup gathers dust beside the sink, And she works so much these days she barely has time to think. Now every word I say is somehow wrong, Every choice I make turns into another long Conversation about the things I never do right, Feels like she’s keeping score every night. Bridge And our little boy comes running through the room, With his mama’s eyes and his daddy’s boots. I think about leaving when the hurt gets too strong, But I can’t bear the thought of him wondering where I’ve gone. Final Chorus She didn’t leave all at once, She faded away. Till there was almost nothing Of the girl from yesterday. And I stand here holding on To memories she let go. Loving someone who’s already gone Is the loneliest thing I know. Outro So I’ll kiss my little boy and tuck him into bed, And pray tomorrow brings back what we’ve lost instead. But deep down I know some hearts don’t break that way, They don't leave all at once..... They just fade away.
