DescriptionI’m an accomplished musician with a good amount of experience as a songwriter. I’ve always found it much easier to come up with new musical ideas and often struggle with lyrics. My tastes vary from Indie folk/Americana/alt country to blues and jazz. I would describe some of my completed songs as being in the vein of Neil Young, Sun Kil Moon, and Wilco. I’ve also written a lot of music without lyrics that are maybe more of a Steely Dan/Jam Band kind of a feel. I’ve recorded and performed many of my songs with bands over the years, preferring to focus on the writing and having other band members with better voices handle the singing. I’m hoping to connect to a lyricist with an ear for story telling, interesting phrasing, and evocative imagery.
Dreams & AmbitionsI’ve played in bands for many years and have always enjoyed collaborating and working on original material. I have ideas for several different kinds of musical projects and would love to finish, record, and release this material online and possibly connect to publishers.
EquipmentOur house is full of instruments. Electric and acoustic guitars, a couple of basses, drum set, piano, synths, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and brass and woodwind instruments. I play a bunch of these instruments and know people that play the ones that I don’t. I have a bunch of recording mics and a Zoom L-20 mixer/interface that runs into Logic Pro X for recording
