DescriptionI’ve been writing verse and lyrics in a diverse range of genres my entire life (from folk, country, metal and indie to hip hop & rap). Won the lyrical category in the Songwriters, Composers & Lyricists Association (SCALA) song competition 2 years running, and came runner up in the lyrical category of the Australian Songwriters Association (ASA) song competition the following year. I don’t sing or play an instrument, so I've just kept writing more lyrics. I’ve had a great deal of positive feedback from friends and also competition judges encouraging me to bring my lyrics to life and collaborate, and I'm now ready to get serious about [removed] strengths are that I can sometimes write a few verses in about an hour, straight after I've had a cup of coffee with a jam n cream scone in my favourite cafe (it's just a ritual that works, I can't explain why), or alternatively while in one of my 'magical writing bubbles'. My weakness is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I am often remastering my work until I'm absolutely certain it's ready, which I guess isn't necessarily a weakness if you're looking for quality. My major musical influences growing up were Johnny Cash, Led Zepplin, The Doors and basically any classic legends of the 70's. In my adult years my influences have been largely Nirvana, Hole, Fleetwood Mac, INXS, Garbage, Paul Kelly, Florence & The Machine, Karnivool, Placebo, Magic Dirt, Sia, The Prodigy, First Aid Kit, The Audreys, Pete Murray, Missy Higgins, John Butler Trio, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age, The Cure, 10 Years, Regurgitator, Tool, Faith No More, Elton John, Simon & Garfunkel, PJ Harvey, Groove Armada. OMG too many. I have immersed myself in the music scene for a very long time, whether it be attending live gigs, dancing for hours at music festivals, bush doofs or just being around live music for inspiration. I am diverse in my love for music and lyrics, and I love a large range of genres.

Dreams & AmbitionsI guess you could say I'm ambitious. I've entered several competitions over the years, and succeeded at some, as I've been keen for serious feedback and guidance to see where I'm at with my lyrical skills. I'm always inspired with historical collaborations such as Simon & Garfunkel, and Elton John & Bernie Taupin. Also found Sia inspirational (originally from my hometown) in that she wrote lyrics for famous overseas artists, before going on to sing her own songs. My dream would absolutely be to collaborate my lyrics with musicians who could bring them to life and have them played on the radio. I've written and dreamed of this long enough, and that it is now my ultimate goal for my lyrical adventures. (As for fees, I would be open to negotiation on that subject and would prefer to collaborate in exchange for publishing splits.)

EquipmentNot applicable.

Use of AII only use the Suno app to create samples of music that I feel my lyrics are best suited to, and have a range of samples to a list of songs I've written lyrically that cover a diverse range of genres. However, I only use Suno to give a demo of music only so I can get a feel for how I see my lyrics being sung when collaborating with others. I absolutely refuse to use Suno to assist with lyrical creation. All my lyrics are, and will always be, of my own creation.
