DescriptionI’m a pianist and composer/songwriter that would love to connect with lyricists and collaborate! If a rock/soul/pop/gospel piano player and composer is something you’re looking for, shoot me a message I’m in the South Alabama region but am open to connecting with people remotely. My influences in piano have been Elton John, Billy Joel, Randy Newman, Clive Lawrence, and Ray Charles. My influences in songwriting is more varied, including Kirk Franklin, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Léon, Bruce Springsteen, Lindsay Buckingham. I also really enjoy modern musicals like Rent, Dear Evan Hansen, Mean Girls, etc as well as the classics like Cole Porter, Berlin, Rodgers, etc. I’m in my late 30s, own a boutique e-commerce marketing agency, and love learning music theory and techniques around new styles and genres. If we work together, I promise to be a kind, direct, and collaborative writing partner! I happily invite others to give me critical feedback, changes, recommendations, and advice whenever you want. I am relatively pragmatic in my approach to learning and improving so I see even the most seemingly harsh feedback as a gift. I enjoy being able to collaborate candidly, and while that means I prefer direct language, I promise to always give you the kindest version of myself. Dreams & AmbitionsI really just want to write more music. It seems like I can write music and hooks 20x faster than lyrics, so it’d be great to connect with a few lyricists. My ultimate dream would be to have a few songs produced or used in production at some point. It would be amazing to have a regional or independent artist record/produce my music. These are passion projects, I’m not expecting to make a living with any of it.
