Ash Appleton

I sing OK, play fiddle and piano reasonably well, and am basic on guitar. I write a lot of lyrics and riffs but need to bounce off someone. Key influences: Smiths; 90s grunge; trad folk; electronic music with real tunes like Portishead/Massive Attack; riot grrrl; Chappell Roan; Stevie Nicks; Jeff Buckley; Tracey Chapman; Ani DiFranco... loads more.

I love to collaborate and want to build real creative partnerships. I get excited by others' talent and ideas, but shut down when it gets competitive or bitchy. I need some cheerleading as I've lost a lot of time and am low on confidence. Singing is the thing I love the most but I'm happy to be backup - whatever makes the song work best.
