Lyrics by Michael Lunday

Now They Believe the Same

Verse
They said seeing was believing, and so they went their way
But they never really stopped to look and see
That which happened all around them in the life they threw away
As they grasped at what they thought they ought to be

Chorus
Now they believe the same, as those who live in heaven
Now they call out the Name, that’s worshiped up on high
And now they feel the shame that could have been forgiven
And wash away by the Blood, before the time to die.

Verse
Much too easy in the world which their Creator made
To pretend that God held nothing in His hand
The gifts that He had given them caused their belief to fade
And they placed their faith in castles built on sand

Verse
Hell has only the believing, no pride there makes them blind
What others saw by faith, now they see by sight
The Saviour that had come for them, the Hope they left behind
Their sight fumbles in the darkness as faith walks in His Light
