Dancing in the trees
Genres: Folk, Singer-Songwriter
When you come to plant me, under bracken fiery red. Do not mourn for long, although I know my bodies dead. I will feed into this cycle of nature that is wild so I’ll be there in the moment as a carefree happy child. I’ll be dancing on the breeze That lilts through trees of green, Wandering the mountains A life of evergreen. although we can’t now touch, Don’t you cry for me Ill be swaying in the tall trees Wild……wild and free I’ll weep as gentle leaves that fill the saddest eyes Drown in purple colour sunsets I’ll fill the biggest skies So, sit amongst the hillside, catch rain upon your face because here as part of nature I’m in a wild and wonderous place. I’ll be dancing on the breeze That lilts through trees of green, Wandering the mountains A life of evergreen. although we can’t now touch, Don’t you cry for me Ill be swaying in the tall trees Wild……wild and free Bridge Winters womb, winters womb No tomb, no tomb Here there is so much room I’ll be growing in the springtime, in summer I will bloom, reflect with you in autumn mists, then return to winters womb. I’ll be dancing on the breeze That lilts through trees of green, Wandering the mountains A life of evergreen. although we can’t now touch, Don’t you cry for me Ill be swaying in the tall trees Wild……wild and free

Childhood so fleeting
Genres: Indie, Singer-Songwriter
Childhood in the Wind Verse 1 Whistle to wind, innocence white gaze at dark see stars bright Wishing on dreams that hang on the moon Gather shadows, that drift through this room Feathery childhood drift past my eyes Hay bales and meadows, forget-me-not skies Leaves in the air, they tumble and spin Blossoms that dance wild nature begins Chorus Childhood so fleeting, dive into its dream Watch all with wonder, where magic is seen Daydreams and skipping, and laughter that lifts Behind all the sorrow, I find these true gifts Verse 2 Lost in the days, sun shining bright Warmth in the water, cool winter nights Shimmering promise, hope that won’t fade climb up truth’s rope, no longer afraid Chorus Childhood so fleeting, dive into its dream Watch all with wonder, where magic is seen Daydreams and skipping, and laughter that lifts Behind all the sorrow, I find these true gifts Bridge Kaleidoscope eyes view memories that fade A childhood illusion, of mist it is made? Can’t grasp the past, it slips through my hand free in the wind, where dreams understand Final Chorus Childhood so fleeting, dive into its dream Watch all with wonder, where magic is seen Daydreams and skipping, and laughter that lifts Behind all the sorrow, I now found these gifts (c) Jackie Hird (p) Wide Triangle Publishing Scotland
