Verse-Chorus Lyrics

Lyrics by Andrew Palmer

I won't let you go

Genres: Pop, Singer-Songwriter

He had you in his hands, but he didn’t see,
The way you shine, the way you’re everything to me.
He took you for granted, let you slip away,
Now I’m standing here, wishing I could make him pay.
I hate him for the hurt he caused,
The way he treated you, the things he lost.
But I swear, I’ll never make the same mistakes,
I’ll love you the way you deserve, for both our sakes.
I hate him for the pain he put you through,
For every lie and every cold thing he did to you.
But I’ll never break your heart, I swear I’ll never lie,
I’ll hold you close, I’ll keep you safe, I’ll never let you cry.
I won’t waste this chance, I won’t let it slip away,
I’ll fight for you, I’ll love you every single day.
He messed up, but I won’t let you go,
I’ll show you love you never thought you’d know.
I see the scars he left, deep inside your soul,
But I’ll be the one to heal you, make you feel whole.
I won’t be like him, I won’t break your trust,
I’ll stand beside you, you can count on us.
I know he let you down, but I’ll lift you high,
I’ll be the one to wipe those tears from your eyes.
I can’t change what he did, but I can show you what’s true,
A love that’s real, a love that won’t break you.
I’ll prove to you that I’m not like him,
And I’ll be here, loving you until the end.
He messed up, but I won’t let you go,
I’ll love you more than you could ever know

Answered Prayers

Genres: Pop, Christian, Singer-Songwriter

I was lost, drifting through the night,
Felt so alone, couldn't find the light.
Prayers whispered through tears I couldn't hide,
Asking for someone to stand by my side.
And in the silence, You spoke to me,
Told me I was never truly free.
You heard my cries, You saw my pain,
And with Your love, You healed my shame.
You answered every prayer I sent,
Through the darkest days, You were present.
In my loneliness, You gave me peace,
You showed me how to love, how to believe.
Now I stand, no longer broken,
With joy in my heart, a love unspoken.
And through it all, You gave me her,
A love so perfect, that im not sure I deserve.
I searched for meaning, I searched for grace,
But all I needed was to see Your face.
In the quiet moments, You helped me find,
The strength to leave my fears behind.
And now I know that I'm not alone,
With You beside me, I've found my home.
You gave me purpose, You gave me light,
And in Your arms, I learned to fight.
You answered every prayer I sent,
Through the darkest days, You were present.
In my loneliness, You gave me peace,
You showed me how to love, how to believe.
Now I stand, no longer broken,
With joy in my heart, a love unspoken.
And through it all, You gave me her,
A love so perfect, that I'm not sure if deserve
She’s more than I could ever dream,
A love so real, it feels like a dream.
Her heart’s a gift that You’ve given me,
In her, I see Your grace so clearly.
With her by my side, I’m whole again,
A love that’s forever, through thick and thin.
You answered every prayer I sent,
Through the darkest days, You were present.
In my loneliness, You gave me peace,
You showed me how to love, how to believe.
Now I stand, no longer broken,
With joy in my heart, a love unspoken.
And through it all, You gave me her,
A love so perfect, That im not sure i deserve.
Thank You, Lord, for the peace You’ve given,
For the love I never thought I’d be livin’.
In You, I’ve found my way to be,
Now with her, I’m finally free.

The 2%

Genres: Pop, Singer-Songwriter

They say we're just a story that don't last,
Only 2% of high school love makes it past.
But I don’t care what the world has to say,
I’d trade it all to make you stay.
We don’t need a promise in a diamond ring,
I don't need forever right now, just a little thing.
‘Cause I'm not rushing, babe, take your time,
I’ll be here waiting, with you on my mind.
Let’s be that 2%, the ones who beat the odds,
Stick together, even when the world pulls us apart.
I know you’re not ready to walk down that aisle,
But I don’t need the title, just the way you smile.
I don’t need a ring, just need you here,
We’ll make it through, year after year.
So let's be that 2%, let’s break the mold,
I’m happy with you, more than silver or gold.
You’re dreaming of the future, it’s all ahead,
I’ll be the one right here when you take that step.
After uni, when you’re ready to say,
I’ll be waiting, no rush, every single day.
You’re chasing your dreams, and I’m chasing you,
No need to worry about what we’re supposed to do.
Take all the time you need, babe, I’ll be fine,
‘Cause as long as you’re here, it’s all by design.
We’ll take our time, we’ll grow together,
No timeline for love, we’ll make it forever.
And when the world says it won’t work out,
We’ll be the ones who prove them wrong, no doubt.
Just you and me, no promises made,
As long as you’re with me, we’ve got it all made.
Let’s be that 2%, and make it through,
I don’t need a thing, as long as it’s you.

Biggest Little Fan

Genres: Country, Pop, Singer-Songwriter

You were six and I was eight, playing games until it's late.
Mom and Dad would make us turn off all the lights.
I was twelve and you were ten, building forts and better friends.
Flying down the road on broken pedal bikes.
But by the time I was a teen, I was lonely, sad, and mean.
Picked up booze and bics to light my cigarettes.
And put you down with every chance, cut you up with broken glass.
Flicked my ashes at my biggest little fan.

But now it's too late to say I love you.
And it's too late to hold your hand.
And it's too far to turn it back before I...
I was a young man, you were my sister.
I wish we were siblings once again.

You were twenty, I was lost, paying dearly for the cost.
Mom and Dad just couldn't understand my ways.
You still called, you still wrote, even when I missed the boat.
Tried to pull me from the haze of my dark days.
But pride can be a wicked thing, makes you blind and makes you sting.
I turned away from you, the one who always cared.
Wish I could go back in time, to the days when you were mine.
Hold you close and show you that I'm always there.

But now it's too late to say I love you.
And it's too late to hold your hand.
And it's too far to turn it back before I...
I was a young man, you were my sister.
I wish we were siblings once again.

I see your face in old photographs, hear your laugh in the echoes past.
Regret is a heavy chain that I bear.
If only I could tell you now, I’d make it right, I’d show you how.
I'd be the brother that you always needed there.

But now it's too late to say I love you.
And it's too late to hold your hand.
And it's too far to turn it back before I...
I was a young man, you were my sister.
I wish we were siblings once again.

If I could tell me

Genres: Pop, Singer-Songwriter

I remember days when I could barely breathe,
Woke up with a heart full of doubt and disbelief.
Thought I'd never find the way out of the storm,
But here I am, standing stronger than before.
If I could reach across the space and time,
I'd tell you that it's gonna be alright.
The weight you're carrying, you'll put it down,
And soon enough, you'll find your solid ground.
I’d tell myself, "Hold on tight, the sun is on its way."
That every tear you cry is just the price you’ll pay,
For the peace you'll find, the joy that’s coming through,
Even when you feel you don’t deserve it, it’s true.
You’ll see the world in colors, not just shades of gray,
And for the first time, you’ll find your place,
'Cause life gets so much better, you'll finally see,
That happiness, it was always meant for you and me.
There were days I felt like I’d never be enough,
Felt so lost, like I wasn’t strong enough to trust.
But now I see the beauty in the scars I wear,
Every crack is proof that I survived, I’m here.
If I could go back, I’d whisper in your ear,
"Don’t be afraid, the light is drawing near."
The days of struggle are the seeds you sow,
And soon you’ll know how far you’ve come, how much you’ve grown.
I might not have believed it then,
But now I know it’s all worth it in the end.
Every dark night led me to the dawn,
And now I see, I’m where I belong.
I’d tell myself, "Just wait, you'll see the light."
You’ve earned this peace, you’ve earned this life.
