I'm a songwriter looking to collaborate with other like-minded songwriters.
I'm a songwriter who wants others to record my songs.
I'm a lyricist looking for musicians to write music to my lyrics.
I'm a composer/producer looking for lyrics to be sung over my music.
I'm a singer who writes songs. I am looking for musicians/composers/producers to help complete my songs.

I'm a pianist and occasional vocalist but a songwriter and lyricist above all else, and I'm looking to grow & collaborate however possible! I've studied songwriting professionally and have my Bachelor of Music in Songwriting; I also teach songwriting lessons on the side. I absolutely love workshopping songs. As far as my strengths - if songwriting is really just lyrics, melody, harmony, and rhythm... my strongest areas are lyrics, harmony, and melody (in that order). It'd be great to collaborate with someone who's really into groove-writing. I geek out on music theory & prosody & fine-tuning the songwriting process. My writing as a singer-songwriter is generally indie folk, antifolk, jazz, and some pop/rock. I'm inspired by St. Vincent (particularly her earlier albums), Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, The Dresden Dolls. Would love to work with a producer who's into these artists. I primarily use Logic Pro X and occasionally Ableton, but I also have ProTools. I also have a Bachelor of Music in Music Business/Management (specifically focused in marketing).

Dreams and ambitions:
Interested primarily in the craft of songwriting: workshopping songs in the making, analyzing songs, fine-tuning the process, and teaching/facilitating lessons or group workshops. On paper, I'm still working out my path in the songwriting world, but I couldn't stop writing if I tried.

Sample lyrics:

I’m ashed out, burnt up
You don’t light me up like you used to
Is it all that money? Your new girl?
Does she keep you warm when the world gets cold?
If you could’ve kept me forever
Let me wander the desert
I’d never be satisfied
	Sunburnt love

I’m stories down, throwing stones
You don’t invite me up like you used to
Your 2 am drunk texts seem competent
they keep you young when the night gets old
If I could’ve kept you forever
Let you wander the desert
You’d never be satisfied
	Sunburnt love
lifetimes have been spent on far less
		heat’s just skin deep
what we felt was blind, a pipe dream
		wake up

Go, I’m giving up
I’ll never shine like when you first saw me
We're in the dark
Maybe we lost ourselves to find each other
If we could’ve kept up forever
left to wander the desert
We’d never be satisfied
	Sunburnt love
